About Me
I am AI/ML scientist at Eli Lilly and company. Previously I worked with Prof. Usman Khan at Tufts.
Before this, I was a postdoc at EECS deparment, University of Michigan, where I was adivised by Prof. Laura Balzano. Prior to this, I obtained my Ph.D. degree in EE from ECE department, Rutgers University, under the guidance of Prof. Waheed Bajwa. Before joining Rutgers, I obtained Masters's and Bachelors's degrees in Electrical engineering from NUST, Pakistan.
My research interests revolve around developing efficient algorithms for statistical learning problems. More specifically, I use tools from optimization, numerical linear algebra, and probability theory to design efficient algorithms for solving statistical learning problems (e.g., PCA, dictionary learning, and tensor decompositions)
in a variety of practical scenarios (e.g., streaming and distributed data).
